Conditional I Simple
Das Conditional I Simple ist die Zeitform des Hauptsatzes im Second Conditional — es beschreibt, was geschehen würde, wenn eine hypothetische Bedingung erfüllt wäre. Die Handlung ist unreal oder unwahrscheinlich.
If I had more time, I would travel the world.
She would be a great teacher.

would verändert sich nicht — weder in der 3. Person noch in anderen Personen. Es gibt kein woulds und kein woulded.
Kurzform: I’d, she’d, they’d — in der gesprochenen Sprache und in informellen Texten üblich.

Das Conditional I Simple steht als Hauptsatz im Second Conditional — zusammen mit einem If-Teil im Simple Past.
If I knew the answer, I would tell you. — Ich weiß die Antwort nicht (hypothetisch).
If she had more money, she would buy a new car.
What would you do if you won the lottery?

Would allein — ohne If-Satz — steht häufig für höfliche Bitten, Angebote und Einladungen.

5. Deutsch-Englisch: Der entscheidende Unterschied
Das Conditional I Simple entspricht dem deutschen Konjunktiv II mit „würden“ — „ich würde gehen“, „sie würde kaufen“. Im Deutschen kann der Konjunktiv II auch durch besondere Verbformen ausgedrückt werden (käme, ginge, wäre) — im Englischen steht immer would + Infinitiv.
Deutsch vs. Englisch: Conditional I Simple
„Ich würde gehen.“ → I would go.
„Sie würde es kaufen.“ → She would buy it.
Im Deutschen steht im If-Teil häufig ebenfalls der Konjunktiv II: „Wenn ich Zeit hätte, würde ich kommen.“ Im Englischen steht im If-Teil das Simple Past — kein would: If I had time, I would come.
