Indefinite Pronouns — Umformung 1

Forme die Sätze um: ersetze das Indefinitpronomen durch die entsprechende Alternative (z.B. nobody → not … anybody).

B1 Umformung

Forme jeden Satz um wie angegeben. Beide Versionen bedeuten dasselbe. Achte darauf, dass keine doppelte Verneinung entsteht.

Aufgabe

  1. I saw nobody at the station.

    nobody → not … anybody:

    → I did not see anybody at the station. (nobody → not … anybody; beide Formen gleichbedeutend)

  2. I did not hear anything.

    not … anything → nothing:

    → I heard nothing. (not … anything → nothing; Verb in Positiv umstellen)

  3. She went nowhere on her day off.

    nowhere → not … anywhere:

    → She did not go anywhere on her day off. (nowhere → not … anywhere; Verb in Verneinung umstellen)

  4. I did not meet anybody interesting at the party.

    not … anybody → nobody:

    → I met nobody interesting at the party. (not … anybody → nobody; Verb in Positiv umstellen)

  5. Nothing surprised me about his decision.

    nothing → not … anything:

    → Nothing surprised me about his decision. (Hinweis: Diese Umformung funktioniert nur mit einem Hilfsverb — did not surprise ist ebenfalls möglich: His decision did not surprise me at all.)

  6. Nobody called while you were away.

    nobody → not … anybody:

    → Nobody called while you were away. / There was not anybody calling while you were away. (Einfachste Umformung: Nobody called. bleibt, da die Umformung mit „did not call anybody“ ebenfalls korrekt ist)

  7. Everybody enjoyed the concert.

    everybody (positiv) → nobody (negativ):

    → Nobody disliked the concert. (Sinnumkehr mit negativem Verb)

  8. She did not find anything useful in the report.

    not … anything → nothing:

    → She found nothing useful in the report. (not … anything → nothing; Verb in Positiv umstellen)

  9. They did not go anywhere last summer.

    not … anywhere → nowhere:

    → They went nowhere last summer. (not … anywhere → nowhere; Verb in Positiv umstellen)

  10. No one knows the answer.

    no one → not … anyone:

    → Not anyone knows the answer. / Besser: Anyone who answers does not know the answer. — Natürlichere Umformung: There is not anyone who knows the answer.
