Aussagesätze, Verneinungen und Fragen im Past Perfect — alles gemischt.
In dieser Übung kommen Aussagesätze, Verneinungen und Fragen gemischt vor. Achte genau auf den Kontext und entscheide, welche Form gebraucht wird. Benutze für Verneinungen immer die Langform had not.
Aufgabe

→ When I arrived at the party, most guests had already left. (when + Simple Past → Vorvergangenheit → had + PP; leave → PP: left — unregelmäßig)

→ She had not received the email, so she missed the appointment. (unterlassene/ausgebliebene Handlung vor der Folge → had not + PP)
- After they the instructions, they assembled the furniture easily. (read)
→ After they had read the instructions, they assembled the furniture easily. (after → erste Handlung vor zweiter → had + PP; read → PP: read — unregelmäßig)
- He her before that night — it was their first meeting. (never / see)
→ He had never seen her before that night — it was their first meeting. (never … before → fehlende Erfahrung bis zu dem Zeitpunkt → had never + PP; see → PP: seen — unregelmäßig)
- the doctor the patient before the operation? (examine)
→ Had the doctor examined the patient before the operation? (Frage nach Vorvergangenheit → Had + Subjekt + PP?)
- By the time the police arrived, the thief . (escape)
→ By the time the police arrived, the thief had escaped. (by the time → Vorvergangenheit vor Simple Past → had + PP)
- I my driving licence, so I could not rent a car. (forget)
→ I had forgotten my driving licence, so I could not rent a car. (Ursache lag vor der Folge → had + PP; forget → PP: forgotten — unregelmäßig)
- They enough money for the trip, so they had to borrow some. (not: save)
→ They had not saved enough money for the trip, so they had to borrow some. (unterlassene Handlung vor der Folge → had not + PP)

→ Had she rehearsed the song before that evening’s performance? (Frage nach Vorbereitung vor Simple-Past-Ereignis → Had + Subjekt + PP?)
- Before he got the job, he for six months. (study)
→ Before he got the job, he had studied for six months. (before → Vorvergangenheit → had + PP)
- The match already when the fans reached the stadium. (begin)
→ The match had already begun when the fans reached the stadium. (Vorvergangenheit → had + PP; begin → PP: begun — unregelmäßig)
- We the restaurant, so we had to wait for a table. (not: book)
→ We had not booked the restaurant, so we had to wait for a table. (unterlassene Handlung vor der Folge → had not + PP)

→ Had the company made a profit before the new manager took over? (Frage nach Vorvergangenheit → Had + Subjekt + PP?; make → PP: made — unregelmäßig)
