Fülle die Lücken mit der richtigen Form des Past Progressive. Bei Verneinungen verwende die Langform (was not, were not). Bei Fragen stelle was oder were an den Satzanfang. Das Verb steht in Klammern.

    → I was not trying to be rude — I was just tired. (Verneinung: was not + -ing)

    Were the children playing quietly while you were on the phone? (Frage: Were + Subjekt + -ing)
  7. We about that topic at all — we changed the subject. (not: talk)
    → We were not talking about that topic at all — we changed the subject. (Verneinung: were not + -ing)

    Was she working when the fire alarm went off? (Frage: Was + Subjekt + -ing)
  9. He the instructions correctly — he made several mistakes. (not: follow)
    → He was not following the instructions correctly — he made several mistakes. (Verneinung: was not + -ing)
