Aufgabe

1. The book is on the table. (Zustand → Bewegung: She put the book …)

   Umformung:

   → She put the book onto the table. (onto = Bewegung auf eine Oberfläche)

2. He is in the room. (Zustand → Bewegung: He walked …)

   Umformung:

   → He walked into the room. (into = Bewegung nach innen)

3. She has been waiting since noon. (Zeitpunkt → Dauer: She has been waiting … two hours.)

   Umformung:

   → She has been waiting for two hours. (for + Zeitspanne)

4. I’ll finish it by Friday. (by → until: Schreibe einen Satz mit until, der einen anderen Sinn ergibt)

   Umformung:

   → I’ll work on it until Friday. (until = fortlaufende Handlung bis Freitag)

5. She goes to work on foot. (on foot → by car)

   Umformung:

   → She goes to work by car.

6. They arrived in time. (in time → on time: Erkläre den Unterschied im deutschen Satz)

   Umformung:

   → They arrived on time. (on time = pünktlich; in time = rechtzeitig, bevor es zu spät ist)

7. The shop opens on Monday. (Monday → every Monday — keine Präposition)

   Umformung:

   → The shop opens every Monday. (kein on vor every)

8. She was born in March. (Monat → ein Datum: She was born … 15th March)

   Umformung:

   → She was born on 15th March. (Datum → on)
