Forme die Second-Conditional-Sätze um — stelle den if-Teil ans Ende oder tausche das Modalverb aus.
Aufgaben 1–5: stelle den if-Teil ans Ende des Satzes. Aufgaben 6–10: tausche „would“ gegen „could“ oder „might“ aus (die Bedeutung ändert sich leicht).

„could“ statt „would“:
→ If she had more confidence, she could speak up in meetings. („could“ betont die Fähigkeit/Möglichkeit) -
If I were not so busy, I would visit you more often.
„might“ statt „would“:
→ If I were not so busy, I might visit you more often. („might“ drückt weniger Gewissheit aus) -
If we had a bigger budget, we would hire more staff.
„could“ statt „would“:
→ If we had a bigger budget, we could hire more staff. („could“ betont die Fähigkeit/Möglichkeit) -
